SOM Shortcut is an independent student-built resource and is not an official Yale University website.

What stays on your device

Your pinned favorites and light or dark theme preference are saved in your browser's local storage. These preferences stay on your device and are never sent to SOM Shortcut.

Aggregate analytics

SOM Shortcut uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall use. It is cookieless, stores nothing on your device, and does not follow you across other websites. It records aggregate traffic only: page views, referring site, country, browser, and device type.

No other analytics service runs on this site. SOM Shortcut does not record which resources you open, what you search for, or which links you pin. Those actions stay on your device.

SOM Shortcut never collects names, email addresses, NetIDs, search text, or private URL parameters.

Hosting and delivery

This site is delivered through Cloudflare and hosted on Railway. To serve the pages and protect the site from abuse, those providers process ordinary request information, including your IP address and browser user agent, under their own privacy policies. This happens for any website you visit and is not used by SOM Shortcut to identify or profile you.

External links

Every resource opens a third-party website. That site handles your visit under its own privacy policy. SOM Shortcut does not control or receive the information you provide there.

Retention and questions

Aggregate analytics are held by Cloudflare under its own retention schedule. SOM Shortcut keeps no separate copy and stores no visitor data of its own.
